Teacher of Maths (ECTs welcome)

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Teacher of Maths for a wonderful 11-18 secondary school based in South London. The position is suitable for either an ECT or an Experienced Teacher of Maths who has the drive and determination to make a positive impact on the young people at this school. Professional development programme for both ECTs and Experienced Teachers is second to none and you will be given the foundations for a great and successful career. The department also offer Maths specific CPD in addition to the whole school programme so that you feel well supported and well equipped to make that positive difference.  

 

The Maths department consists of 10 Maths teachers and 2 Senior Maths Practitioners. The department has state of the art classrooms which are well equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. The team work collaboratively to ensure that students achieve and succeed. You will be someone who is able to consistently deliver good or outstanding lessons, be committed to exceptional standards of teaching and learning, be able to motivate, challenge and inspire students to achieve their best, be able to establish and develop outstanding relationships with students and staff.  

 

 Upon joining the school, the successful applicant will be a part of a department who embrace the latest developments in Maths teaching and are committed to promoting the joy, beauty and power of Mathematics to young people. Maths is extremely popular in the sixth form and there is a large uptake of the subject at AS and A Level including Further Maths, they have now also introduced core Maths as part of the curriculum offer. The school encourage collaboration, debate and discussion both within their team and in their classrooms and strongly believe that this culture has led to the excellent track record of success in Maths.
